During the summer of 2017, I had the pleasure of participating in Swarthmore’s SPEED internship. It is a program designed to pair students and faculty with the goal of creating a resource that “enhances teaching or facilitates undergraduate research.”
My project was to create a web tool for Swarthmore Career Services that allowed for anyone to easily read and compare data from graduated seniors. The idea was for this tool to help students navigate their major selection and see what paths Swarthmore students have already taken; while simultaneously, making it simple for the Career Services employees to customize each major page without any prior coding experience.
